James Stanley Hall (December 4, 1930 – Dec 10, 2013) was an American jazz guitarist, composer as well as arranger. Premier Guitar magazine stated that "It could move argued that the jazz guitar tree is rooted inwards 4 names: Django [Reinhardt], Charlie [Christian], Wes [Montgomery], as well as Jim [Hall]"

Been listening to a lot of Jim Hall lately as well as hap to run across this album. It has a long listing of other groovy musicians playing inwards diverse settings from twain to large ensembles. Normally I don't similar large ensembles only the compositions are rattling interesting equally is the playing. Really enjoying this album a lot.  By Steve B.
