In 1979 Mike Mainieri formed Steps (which afterward became Steps Ahead), an all-star jazz oriented R&B ring that originally included such players equally Mike Brecker, Don Grolnick, Eddie Gomez as well as Steve Gadd inwards its line-up.
Now Steps’ groundbreaking debut CD has been rereleased equally a 2-CD laid upwards alongside 3 previously unreleased ‘bonus tracks’ as well as alternate takes which were merely late discovered inwards the musician’s personal record collections.
