I am a big fan of Kazumi's '80s fusion stuff! in addition to this is a really fine album, in addition to a reasonably worthwhile follow-up to KW's master copy Spice of Life. it's non quite every bit skilful or every bit inspired every bit the original, but it was a fine album! simply every bit I yell upward from the former vinyl album days, the offset vocal of both side 1 in addition to side two were the weakest tunes of the album, but the album greatly improved every bit each side went along...(and yes, I realize I am directly listening to the CD). I forgot how much I enjoyed this album because I hadn't heard it inwards years...but this is a fine album overall! KW's fusion guitar move is nonetheless incredible. he kept Jeff Berlin on bass in addition to Yes' Bill Bruford on drums inwards his band, remaniscent of the offset Spice of Life, but he added a keyboard component subdivision instrumentalist on this album. I never heard of this guy before, but he was an impressive in addition to curiously intriguing add-on to the band. KW nonetheless has his fragile though rocking residue betwixt jazz, heavy stone in addition to a 'spicy' Japanese season to his music. If y'all similar fusion, specially fusion guitar, I recommend looking into Kazumi Watanabe. his Japanese influence actually does add together a unique in addition to fascinating, enjoyable experience to traditional fusion....and this is a skilful fusion album in addition to a respecable follow-up to his master copy Spice of Life...but it's non every bit skilful every bit the original...but don't error KW for that, because the master copy Spice was simply a vivid slice of fusion that tin seldom last matched! but laissez passer on this album a spin.
