Learn Ron Carter - 1975 [1988] Spanish Blue

Spanish Blue is an album past times arter - 1975 [1988] Castilian Blue">bassist arter" title="Learn Ron Carter - 1975 [1988] Castilian Blue">Ron Carter recorded at arter - 1975 [1988] Castilian Blue">Rudy Van Gelder's Studio inwards New Bailiwick of Jersey inwards 1974 in addition to released on the arter - 1975 [1988] Castilian Blue">CTI label. Interesting concept amongst adept solos past times artist/carter-mn0000275832">Carter in addition to artist/hubert-laws-mn0000234374">Hubert Laws (fl). All Music.

This is a slice of art. All Ron Carter's CDs are 5 Stars, but this i I could easily laissez passer it vii Stars. This is my origin Jazz LP that I bought inwards 1982, in addition to inwards 1990 I hurried to purchase the CD every bit it is my #1 inwards my over 2000 carefully chosen CDs.
The CD recorded inwards 1975 contains 4 tunes, iii composed past times Ron Carter in addition to So What? past times Miles Davis: 2 are spanish (El Noche Sol - Sabado Sombrero), 2 conduct Jazz (So What? - Arkansas).
All musicians had given their best, particularly amongst Ron around, they all play differently.
On Piano: Roland Hanna!!!, Flute: Hubert Laws, Bass: Ron Carter, Guitar: Jay Berliner, Drums: Billy Cobham, Percussion: Ralph McDonald. Don't Miss this outstanding CD. By Imad Tawil

Ron Carter's offering hither is a venture plan that has 2 Spanish-flavored numbers in addition to 2 traditional jazz compositions that characteristic v top-caliber musicians at their best. "El Noche Sol" is influenced past times Anadalucian folk music, every bit is the slower, soulful "Sabado Sombrero". Hubert Laws on flute is prominent on all iv tracks in addition to a highlight on the CD is the nifty solo travel past times drummer Billy Cobham on "So What". The lastly track, "Arkansas", then named for a child's homework project, closes out the album. The CD would accept benefitted from the inclusion of a few to a greater extent than numbers but the music is enjoyable in addition to illustrates the group's versatility inwards interpreting music forms dissimilar from what they were accustomed to playing.  By New England Pat

There's incredible talent on this record. I accept e'er loved Sabado sombrero, in addition to Ron Carter in addition to Hubert Laws - good all of the musicians are merely giving their all to a rattling difficult piece. Wish I could larn a CD. By Curtis S. Cone

70′s fusion-esque album past times Ron Carter. It’s has a definite Jazz focus, but it besides has a latin audio to it. The argue why I personally wouldn’t pose it inwards the fusion category is because the instrumentation is pretty standard. Although this is Ron Carter’s album, it has a lot of fantabulous flute past times the neat Hubert Laws, which pretty much steers the album. This album is merely a blip for Ron Carter, who has said to look on over 2,500 albums, which is i of the virtually astonishing facts inwards all of music. This goes to demo that Bassists are e'er inwards need, e'er accept work, in addition to are the backbone of music.
