If you`re partial to high wattage, synthetic jazz, this is a crackling example. It features Andrea Marcelli on percussion throughout in addition to the likes of saxophonist Wayne Shorter, guitarist Mike Stern in addition to bassist John Patitucci on selected cuts. The trial is rigid on issue energy only short, to my ear at least, on subtlety, making it hard to distinguish from dozens of efforts yesteryear other collections of performers.
In 1990, amongst the participation of Bob Berg (Tenor Sax), Mitch Forman (Piano & Midi), John Patitucci (Electric Bass), Wayne Shorter (Soprano Sax), Alex Acuna (Percussions), Mike Stern (Guitar), Allan Holdsworth (Guitar & Synthaxe) in addition to the percussionist Andrea Marcelli, this album presents a groovy modern Jazz Fusion musical concept.
Although all the tracks are compositions of Andrea Marcelli, the melodies are good driven in addition to supported yesteryear the saxes in addition to the electrical guitars... this form of jazz reminds the groups similar the Elektric Jazz Band of keyboardist Chick Corea; the goodness in addition to tasty guitar phrasing of Mike Stern inward his interpretations reminds me the participations of guitarist Carlos Rios amongst Gino Vannelli inward the "Brother To Brother" album from 1978; Allan Holdsworth, yet hooked on the Synthaxe at this phase of his career, shows his expertise in addition to guitar wisdom inward the tracks: "Final Project", "Love Remembered" in addition to "Lights"
